Last week, a blog post containing a letter from a father to his daughter (about her future husband) went viral. Why? Because it was real, it was touching, and speaks to everyone. It all started when the father saw this Google suggested search result:
"How to keep him interested"
This father felt that relationships are meaningful and improved not by how well you cook or anticipate your partner's desires, but about who you are, and finding the right person who appreciates you for you.
Read this wonderful passage in his letter to his daughter:
This is not just a wonderful attitude for a father to have about his daughter, but for any family member or friend to have about any loved one when they hope they can find happiness in a relationship. Relationships won't give you value if you can't find value in yourself. If you can be more happy with yourself, you can more easily gain the confidence and ability to face difficulties and insecurities, and make your significant other happy by just being yourself.
Of course, we know this is hard. It's not like men and women who will appreciate you for you fall out of the sky all the time. But we think you should keep this mantra in mind as you search for the right person for you!
